New for 2022, a radically different calendar theme - Health Heroes! Have you ever wondered what it would be like to travel back in time and be living before the health care advances we now take for granted? To a time when anaesthetics were not available, diseases like smallpox and polio were rife and babies were lucky to reach their 1st birthday, if they survived childbirth, that is? In the UK in the 21st century we all have so much to be grateful for when it comes to healthcare, largely because of people like Edward Jenner (discovered the smallpox vaccine), Joseph Lister (antiseptic surgery), Florence Nightingale (nursing care), Rosalind Franklin (DNA) and many, many more...
So in this calendar we have decided to focus on the many important physicians, scientists and thinkers of history who have made significant contributions to medial science and helped to make healthcare throughout the world, and in particular the National Health Service in the UK, what it is today. The images for each month are as follows:
January - Edward Jenner
February - Mary Seacole
March - Alexander Fleming
April - Rosalind Franklin
May - Elizabeth Blackwell
June - Ibn Sina
July - Aneurin Bevan
August - Florence Nightingale
September - Louis Pasteur
October - Hippocrates
November - Elsie Inglis
December - Elizabeth Garrett Anderson

Very nice and informative calendar
High production values, especially the weight f the paper. The design and artwork are, for my taste, impeccable. A good range of subjects, not just the usual suspects. I am hoping. This will go again next year, fitting in more off-piste. people like Josephine Butler and James Niven that didn’t make the cut. A great, high quality gift, including to yourself.
Perfect for my recently retired, dedicated, brilliant but exhausted midwife sister. One of NHS biggest supporters
This is just a little thing but I would love more space to write in but I love the calendar for me and as a present .
PERFECT GIFT FOR FRIENDS A YEAR LONG REMINDER OF FRIENDSHIP AND CARING
To be honest I'm rather disappointed. I thought it would be bigger and have brighter colours. Maybe I didn't read the full description but I certainly wouldn't have paid £12 for it.
