Winter 2025 Update: postal deadlines from Royal Mail (in time for Christmas)

Domestic Tracked: Friday 19th December (1pm cut-off)

Domestic Special Delivery: Tuesday 23rd December (1pm cut-off)

International: to be confirmed by Royal Mail. For Australia/NZ, you're advised to order in November. North America and Europe deadlines are normally in early December.

Your order's on its way!

If you make an order on our website by 12pm on a working day, it will normally be packaged and in the post that very day! We work closely with our local fulfilment partners in Wales, Eirios, to ensure both speedy despatch and care and attention to every order.

Public holidays, postal strikes and busy retail periods such as Christmas may delay your order's despatch & delivery, but we'll still do our best to get your order in the post within 24 hours, and it should arrive with you within a couple of days after that.

We can't guarantee the reliability of Royal Mail and the courier companies (especially in periods of postal strikes or bad weather). If your order isn't delivered within a reasonable time or you fear it may have been lost in the post, please e-mail us on hello@radicalteatowel.com and we'll try to resolve the problem. We normally ask that you wait at least two weeks for domestic orders and contact your local Royal Mail sorting office to establish if the item really has been lost in the post.

United Kingdom Delivery

A Royal Mail Tracked 24 upgrade is available on the checkout, and if you select 'Free Shipping' your order will be sent with the Royal Mail Tracked 48 service. A Special Delivery option may be available at certain times of the year. We occasionally use other couriers for larger packages.

We charge £3.50 for standard postage and packaging within the UK, but it's free if the value of your order is £35 or over. This is calculated automatically at the checkout. We charge £10 for special delivery / courier delivery if this option is selected by you at the checkout (this option is only available at certain times of year).

If you select the Special Delivery option for postage, you need to do this on a working day by 12pm for the parcel to arrive the following day (not Sundays). Please note, therefore, that orders made on a Friday after 12pm should not expect to arrive until Monday (or Tuesday if there is a Bank Holiday).

Europe Delivery

Posting and packaging to Europe is £7-£10 for all package sizes, depending on the exact destination. Your order will be posted with a tracked Royal Mail service from the UK and typically takes around a week to arrive, but please allow up to three weeks for delivery. However, we have noticed that shipping to southern Europe (Portugal, Spain, Italy and Greece) does often take longer, so you should allow additional time if the order is intended as a gift.

We are not part of the EU's Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) system, however we are signed up to a 'Delivered Duty Paid' service with Royal Mail. If your order is going to Germany, France, Ireland, Portugal, the Netherlands, Cyprus, Malta, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Norway or Sweden, then we pay the VAT on your behalf and you should not be charged VAT or customs duties prior to receipt of your order.

For other European Economic Area (EEA) countries not listed above, your order is likely to be charged VAT by the destination country at the border. To compensate you for this, all orders destined to these other EEA countries now receive an automatic 20% discount on our checkout. Please note that you should not be charged 'customs duties' in addition to VAT, as the goods are made in the United Kingdom and therefore are covered by the Brexit agreement with the EU, so you are encouraged to challenge this with your local postal service should they attempt to levy a customs charge. The 20% automatic discount we apply to certain EEA countries may not always be sufficient to cover all charges you face; unfortunately, we can't offer any additional compensation to cover administration fees or charges as these vary by country. That said, in some cases orders may be delivered with no fee at all and you are free to keep any discount we've applied. International Delivery

Postage and packaging to the rest of the world is £12 to Australia/NZ, £14 to Canada and £16 to the USA. Your order will be posted from the UK by a tracked service and please allow at least two weeks for delivery.

For orders to Canada, you should not be charged customs duties on our made-in-UK products as they are zero-rated by Canada's trade agreement with the UK. However, you should expect to be charged GST and PST/HST by Canada Post depending on your province, along with a CAD$10-12 brokerage fee. Please note that these charges are not levied in all cases, and we have no control over a courier's decision whether or not to apply them.

If you're sending an order to the United States, you'll find significantly cheaper postage and packaging charges, along with speedier delivery, by using our North America website, because we'll be posting directly from the US from our Pennsylvania location. This means you will also not have to pay tariffs, as we already pay tariffs on the goods on import, prior to their sale to our US customers.
