With each depicting a different vintage suffragette poster, this set of six coasters will certainly be something to talk about over a glass of wine (or two!)
The set comprises: a 1908 poster by Caroline Marsh Watts of The Bugler Girl; a 1909 poster advertising ‘Votes for Women’ the ‘official’ weekly newspaper of the WSPU; a 1913 poster demonstrating the strength of the National Union of Women's Suffrage Societies; a 1913 cover of the Suffragette Newspaper marking the death of Emily Davison at Epsom Racecourse; a 1911 design for the music sheet of the suffragette anthem 'The March of the Women'; and a propaganda poster designed by Duncan Grant for a competition held by the Artists' Suffrage League in 1909.
These melamine coasters have a hardboard base and durable cork backing which is heat resistant to 145 degrees centigrade as well as being scratch & stain resistant. So jolly hard-wearing!
This gift comes in a smart presentation box with a description and image of each coaster on the rear.
