‘We have to free half of the human race, the women, so that they can help free the other half.’
You’ll have heard of Emmeline Pankhurst. A political activist, leader of the British suffragette movement, and the protagonist quoted in this radical tea towel, Pankhurst was a founding member of the Women’s Social and Political Union (WSPU), the organisation which won women the right to vote in Britain. Although conceived as a radical figure in her time, she has become a household name today: a celebration of how far we have come since her efforts, and above all, an inspiration of how far we have yet to go in order to liberate our sisters all around the world. The patriarchy? Wipe the floor with them with help from this feminist tea towel.
Half Panama unbleached organic cotton (heavy weight, textured finish). Stitched on all four sides. Includes hanging loop. Measures approximately 48cm x 70cm. Machine wash at 40 degrees centigrade max. We recommend that before you use your tea towel for the first time you wash it at least once to soften up the material and make it more absorbent for drying dishes. Please note size can vary slightly.
