‘No society can legitimately call itself civilised if a sick person is denied medical aid because of lack of means.’
That’s what Aneurin Bevan, Minister for Health in the UK (1945-1951) argued. Inspired by his vision, the Labour Party established the National Health Service in 1948, under the founding principles that good health care should be available to all, regardless of wealth. The NHS has been providing comprehensive, universal and free healthcare ever since.
During the opening ceremony for the London 2012 Olympics, the NHS was described as ‘the institution which more than any other unites our nation.’
Today Bevan’s message remains truer than ever as NHS staff risk their lives to care for the sick, vulnerable and needy while treating us all with human dignity, compassion and respect.

Aneurin Bevan Tea Towel
I am very pleased with this tea towel, my first time ordering from this company, it has a strong message from one of my hero's and I am impressed by the quality and thickness of the tea towel.

Thought it was very good.
As it’s a Christmas present, haven’t the recipient’s comments yet.

Aneurism Bevan Tea Towel
I was hesitant at the price of the tea towels but really liked both the design and quote on this one so went for it. A very topical quote as the NHS currently hangs in the balance. The quality is superb and washes well. I won’t be using it as a tea towel but hanging it in my newly painted blue kitchen. Suggestion: it would be great if you sold clips to hang them like a poster.
