Considered one of history's greatest explorers, Robert Swan (b 1956) is the first person ever to walk to both the North and the South Poles. He is also an advocate for the protection of Antarctica and renewable energy and the co-author of 'Antarctica 2041: My Quest to Save the Earth's Last Wilderness'.

Our design is inspired by an iconic photograph taken by Herbert Ponting during the 1910-1913 British Antarctic Expedition, showing the Terra Nova ship from within an iceberg. Ponting thought that this photograph, framing the Terra Nova, was one of his best.

For us it shows the fragile and tenuous relationship between humanity and nature. Without the Antarctic ice sheet, human survival becomes near-impossible. It's up to us to save it.

Half Panama unbleached cotton (heavy weight, textured finish). Stitched on all four sides. Includes hanging loop. Measures approximately 48 x 70cm. Machine wash at 40 degrees max. We recommend that before you use your tea towel for the first time you wash it at least once to soften up the material and make it more absorbent for drying dishes. Please note size can vary slightly.
